The Story.

Hello! I’m Samantha and I run and operate Sam’s Simple Décor. I opened my business in February of 2013 when I was looking for a way to fund a study abroad trip to Japan. You can say I was slightly delusional as the trip was scheduled for that upcoming summer, so there was no way I would have made enough by then. Sam’s Simple Décor started off as a collection of all sorts of home décor ranging from: paintings, string art, watercolor, canvas art, and prints. After taking another look at my crazy range of products, I decided that it would be best to specialize in one area. I always had a love for graphics, so I thought it would be best to create posters. As soon as I started selling prints, my shop took off. I was making more sales than I could have dreamed of! What started as a way to fund a trip, turned out to be a start of a brand.

About the Owner.

I’m Samantha, better known as Sam! I am a 22 year old Architecture Graduate Student studying in Chicago. I currently have 2 years left until I will have my Master’s Degree! After I graduate, I plan on working full time in an architecture firm and of course still keeping Sam’s Simple Décor. Ever since I was a little girl, I have had a passion for design. Anything and everything related to creating art, I was there. It was only a given that I would be starting a career in the artistic world.
